Replacing the aging Park Bridge required navigating the Kicking Horse Canyon’s treacherous terrain and extreme elevations while maintaining traffic flow on the Trans-Canada Highway. Rapid-Span and Canam JV fabricated the structural steel girders required for this 405-meter-long, high-clearance span. Our expertise in complex heavy steel fabrication ensured all components met the rigorous seismic and environmental standards of this alpine corridor. The new bridge provides a safer, four-lane passage through the Rockies, drastically improving provincial trade logistics. |
