Kelowna needed a safe, accessible crossing over Highway 97, one of the city’s busiest corridors, to connect downtown with Rowcliffe Park and the Pandosy neighbourhood. Rapid-Span supplied both the structural steel and the precast components for this 47.4-meter progressive design-build overpass, including six fracture-critical girders, floor beams, wind bracing and 30 precast deck panels, finished in the project’s signal grey and sky blue coating. Opened in June 2025, the overpass gives pedestrians and cyclists of all ages and abilities a safe link across the highway. |
